The Invitation to the Repubbies on Health Care is a Win/Win
I am sure this has already been mentioned, but I think it bears repeating.

President Obama has put the repugs in check on the Health Care debate. By laying down the offer for a meeting, he has them in a no win situation. If they say no, they will look like petty obstructionists. If they say yes, with the call for it to be televised, they are set up to receive a smack-down like what was delivered at the retreat.

The best option for the repugs to participate in an open and honest debate (ha ha ha). Even then, it will result in a win for the Dems. The repug position, currently, is there is nothing wrong with Health Care and it doesn't need changing. If they attend or participate they will be accepting the Democratic frame.

If they refuse, they will be the reason that more Americans will not be insured.

1. I'd agree
President Obama also needs to continue to highlight their opposition to all real financial sector reform. Democrats that aggressively take up that issue are not going to need to sweat remaining office. Their efforts must be genuine however.

History will vindicate the Democratic Party if they push through HCR and continue to work on that issue with further reform.
