How to get rid of republican lawmakers: Dare them.
The idea is so simple: They are men. Big men. Manly men. Men who don't take shit from anybody. Men who don't cave.

So... Dare them. Double-dare them. Triple-dare them.

Next time a democratic lawmaker confronts a republican lawmaker on TV, and the republican spouts one of those usual lies, he should dare him.
Dare him to stand by his word. Dare him to put facts to his empty talk.

"So you really think, trickle-down-economics work? But you don't have any facts to support that! I offer you a deal: We'll hold a joint press conference in a week.
If you can come up with one single example from the last 50 years of US-history, how cutting taxes for the rich has raised the median household income, then I will resign. But if you can't come up with an example, you have to resign. Come on! What are you afraid off? How could you loose?"

What could the Republican do? He is ON AIR!
Agree to that insane bet? He will loose his job.
Refuse to put his career behind his words? He will loose his credibility, voters, party-internal support.

Problems: That method...
* is risky, when not executed wisely.
* will get you trouble with the DNC and a HUUUUGE boost among democratic voters.
* requires a Democrat with a spine...

2. You "loosed" credibility for me just by spelling it so poorly
One time could be a typo, but clearly it's going to come as a surprise to you that the word is "lose".

3. English is not my native tongue.
Or: I'm a rebel, I don't care about typos.
Which sounds better? :)

5. Or both!
;-)

Some are more concerned about enforcing grammar rules than focusing on the point trying to be made. In this case the error doesn't take away from the point - we knew what you meant.

:hi:

4. Hey, the last time I "trickled down" my wool slacks, a deserving dry cleaner made money!
