7. They're not gonna want him there next year
He may have killed the prayer breakfast.

One of the best things he's done.

8. Hehe. A twofer. The whole point of the event is to rope the POTUS into this display of Xtian piety
Next year maybe he can give a guest sermon on The Beatitudes, and the sheer number of times both books of the Christian Bible mention the poor and social justice (over 300) versus how many times it mentions teh gay (Jesus and the prophets: Zero --> http://www.soulforce.org/article/homosexuality-bible-gay-christian )

15. To be anti gay due to the Bible one best be ready to live with
Paul's words for women, and that whole 'slaves obey your masters' deal he is so endlessly vocal about. To buy those writings against gay people, you have to be a pro slavery sexist. Or a big time cheery picker. Not one author from the Bible speaks against gay people who does not also speak in favor of slavery. Not one.

9. It was worth getting up early to hear that he had said that. THAT's who I voted for!
That's MY PRESIDENT :loveya:

I hope to be able to see the whole thing later today. Well, only what my president said, not the rest. :bounce:

it was the right thing to do!

Seems like Obama is getting his progressive voice back, at last.

13. Yet he attended a prayer breakfast sponsored by the cult C Street
which has played a major role in pushing for the execution of LGBTs in Africa, not just in Uganda.

14. They should not have gone, but Obama was ok
and Hillary was even more vocal. Still, they went there and had a nosh with those who seek to do great harm to their neighbors, a thing I would not do, personally.

16. I think Obama figured he literally had a pulpit there, and a "bully" one at that...
If he opted out, there would have been a RW storm; this way, he can have a RW storm for excellent reasons. Why waste an opportunity like that? ;-)
