Dylan Ratigan is destroying it right now. Harry Reid called on every senator fighting for re-election. I actually don't see a problem with that. My problem is that Obama didn't even criticize the blue dogs. It was a huge waste of time.

1. Take the President's advice: turn off the cable news.
We will never get anything done if we focus on the political bloviating of television pundits, who are paid precisely in order to create American-Idol style political controversy and horse-race implications. Cease and desist.

Every time you get the urge to watch Dylan Ratigan or any other talk show, turn it off and go read a policy paper or something that will help you understand and advocate for issues.

17. Perfectly said. I get tired of the endless spin. Obama did talk to the blue dogs.
He said Dems have to differentiate themselves from Rethugs.

2. This was posted by someone yesterday, and it's appropriate here

Seriously, the President had a frank talk with Democrats, calling on them to be bolder and pass legislation. He wasn't talking to a room full of obstructionists. The GOP got what they deserve. Obama is trying to spur Senate Democrats to act.

13. Democratic is the adjective
Democrat is the noun.

"They" are Democrats and "their" party or Q and A is Democratic.

It's a matter of grammar.

16. I was only trying to
point out the use of the word 'Democrat' and who uses it most to annoy us, if you get my meaning. Understandably it is a bit of a gray area. Sorry for any confusion.

15. Sherrod Brown is not up for re-election.
And Ratigan totally mischaracterized the whole exchange. His show today looked like an audition tape for FOX News.
