New GOP Agenda Debuts: Cut Benefits And Privatize Social Security

New GOP Agenda Debuts

Josh Marshall

Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) was on Chris Matthews show a few moments ago and rolled out his idea for the Republican platform to get the federal budget into line: cut benefits and for everybody now under 55 and privatize the program like President Bush tried to do in 2005.

Here's the full video.

2. Tweety always manages to make Repubs go into damage control. Gotcha media.
The idiot basically killed the GOP a bit more. At this point it's beating a dead horse---or in this case elephant.

3. Nothing new about that agenda, same bullshit they always peddle
I really wonder why they even bother. The age of the internet has allowed so many to tear their little schemes to shreds, yet still they persist. And they will continue to lose as long as we remind the public that it was them that got us it this mess to begin with.
They are so pathetic.

11. Deja Vu! But MSM Will Now Call that Same Old Crap Populism!
Right is the new left, as the MSM hails recycled Bush policies as "populist."

12. Since you young people under 55 seem to be mainly Democrats,
I hope you ALL remember this and VOTE in November.
The GOP can't win if we don't let them.

15. Yes, because trying to privatize Social Security worked so well for Bush.
Idiot. No one but the most conservative of the public wants social security privatized.
