The whole Teabagger-Palin-Birther thing explained in one photo:

Put yourself for a second in the heads of that crowd and imagine what this picture says to them.

The fact that "the world has come to this" scares those people to death and they're fighting back with everything they have the only way they know how.

7. This photo makes me so proud of my country -- and my vote!!
After an eight-year hiatus, we finally have a President who has mastered the English language. We have a first family who represent the very best of America. The PM of India stated it so eloquently last night --the President's "healing touch" to the world. And as a bonus, we get to see people with some compassion, style and grace in the White House.

The birthers and teabaggers just "need to get over it."

9. Add a couple of Chinese and Mexicans to that photo and the teabagger/birthers will go berserk.
They feel they are losing control and they are. America and the world are rapidly changing right before their eyes and they are getting desperate to try to stop it. But they can't. The changes are inevitable.

... where did all the white people go .... a long, long time ago.

(I know, bad Clio! bad!)

Cracked me up last week when Dylan or Tweety or someone on MSNBC was looking at footage of a Palin book signing saying, "man, that's not a very colorful crowd is it?..... maybe I shouldn't say that, but it's true."

... and you know if Tweety's pale albino self AND my pale albino self are talking about something being monochromatic, that's saying something.

I love Tweety (I try to work that in at least once a day.)

16. But things are going to be better....
Edited on Wed Nov-25-09 10:52 AM by Clio the Leo
.... prime example, I was speaking with a little 8 year old girl last night. Typical white, southern small town girl with an accent to go with it. She told me, "I crah'd last year when my mama voted for John McCAYNE! I wanted her to vote fa Obama so BAYUD!!!"

And I'd imagine her attitude is typical of most of her age group.

Just like my generation grew up believing that you can date someone of another ethnic group and it's no bigger deal than dating someone of your own "race," the Obamas are making a lasting impression on America's youth that will result in a better country.

Ripples and waves.

18. It is funny about the generational thing.
I didn't think it was a big deal back in the seventies when I married a man from another ethnic group. I knew that I was not liked by some in his 'group' because they didn't believe in 'mixed marriages' but thought this was just a few people. Then I returned to a southern part of the mid-west and it hit me that it was still a big deal for people to be in a 'mixed marriage'. I would have accepted this attitude from the older people but when it came from people close to my age it really shocked me. Now most people don't think too much about it but there are still quite a few that think it is wrong to marry anyone that is not 'their kind'.

When I divorced my then husband, people were quick to say it was because of our difference and I just as quickly agreed adding that him being a cheating chauvinistic male and me being a independent female really did get in the way of a successful marriage. ;)

24. As a white male over 50 I get your point, but for the life of me I do not understand the why?
Sitting in the barber shop I listened to the general loud mouth tea-bagger white males rehash all of the same old crap. The level of ignorance and bigotry was thick. As a white male over 50 who does not share these views; I am grateful sheer numbers of the world population are replacing the dinosaurs and in a few decades they will all be dead.
