But last year, when I filled out my ballot, I knew what I was buying. Why? Because rather than jerk myself off to feel-good imaginings, I actually paid attention to what the man's platform was. "Get the fuck out of Afghanistan" was never on that platform. Maybe it should have been. I would have been happy if it were... But it wasn't. In fact before he was elected, he told us he'd be sending at least two more brigades to Afghanistan. We knew before we voted that he planned to move troops from Iraq to Afghanistan.

You can be a complete fucking liar and say he didn't if you like. But he did let us know ahead of time.

Something else you might not be aware of... Obama didn't start this war. Nor is he the one who fucked it up so badly that we're in this situation.

You hippies don't like it? Neither do I. But I understand why it's going down. I understood that before I filled in my ballot. If you didn't, you're an idiot. If you're now just lying out your ass, well, it wouldn't be the first dumb motherfucker to do that about Obama around here.

That you chose not to listen to him is not his fault. You may disagree with his position, but don't act as though this is something new. Don't claim he broke promises when what really happened was that you voted for him with your own goals in mind and are now projecting them onto him.
