Future Town Halls With The Repugs - Good or Bad Idea?.....
the way some of the pundits are spinning this is that Obama is pushing for bipartisan ship in order to have the Repugs save HCR. It pisses me off that they always look for the negative spin instead of trying to help bipartisanship along.

I was thinking - I've heard people say that Obama should do this more often. If the Repugs feel that Obama pulled one over on them today and they shouldn't have televised it - I would worry that if they had future Town Halls like this - that they would be gunning for Obama. They would be looking for every angle and every trick question to sandbag and embarrass Obama.

This was good - but just like all these reality shows we watch now - the first time around it is very fresh and novel and compelling. The second time - the players know how to game the game and it loses its luster.

This one was good - but I might caution to thread lightly going forward on these.

4. That's an incredibly stupid, narrow narrative.
Still, if they are all chirping about how Obama is calling for bi-partisanship that's not necessarily a bad thing. After all, that's what the public claims to want. Now...the ball's in the gNOp court. Will they continue the partisan assholery or not?

6. Obama can handle it. He's clearly in command of the small-mind idiots.
I have no problem with more of these town hall meetings for exactly that reason. Their pettiness and hate is exposed as it should be.
