The president has called all of us to help the nation move forward; don't blame him if you've spent ten months in failtown.

Their "leader" can do no wrong and they will brook no criticism.

9. A Socialist government would have given you free universal health care
it would have never betrayed the working class and, unlike Obama, it would be bringing all the troops home right now instead of escalating the war in Afghanistan.

All those wonderful New Deal programs that Democrats used to brag about (before they embraced Reaganism), began as socialist core ideas. Socialists were marching for racial equality when the Democrats were pandering their segregationist southern wing.

Green Party is a bourgeois party.

We live in a political duopoly. Two wings of the same bird of prey. Or haven't you noticed?

13. Well in Late Breaking News
The administration has adopted a "Feed a neighbor" program to address the record number of hungry people.

Amazing how quickly the react to a banking crisis with the wallets wide open, human beings in the country with not enough to eat, that seems to be something that needs to be handled by "volunteers"

24. Yes, even Hoover didn't do that, he was a stingy man
but with the 4% increase in the defense budget this year they probably could feed all the hungry children.

16. The comment wasn't about political volunteerism
Take my place I could care less, have fun. I'll be out there, maybe for him, maybe for some lower tier candidate.

I was assuming you were talking about the new Feed a neighbor program that has been adopted to address the hungry...I was simply commenting, that is something Hoover would have tried...well it is something Hoover tried.

It doesn't work. It didn't work in 1929-1933. It didn't work from 1989-1993 and it isn't going to work in 2009.

When people are struggling a feed your neighbor program is a giant slap in the face, I'll break it down for you.

The fact is there is a giant group of non-profits that have been going after this issue for years, and guess what HIGHEST NUMBERS SINCE THEY HAVE BEEN TRACKED! I'm assuming the numbers of donations are down because some good people who do donate like I do, even though I'm on unemployment right now, are receiving instead of giving.

I'm assuming if you say allocated maybe just the 4% defense increase in the budget deficit you probably could feed at least the hungry children.

I guess which is what makes this the most insulting, it isn't like they aren't spending money on things...they just don't give a fuck other than a press release for the people struggling right now.

28. "Yes we can" means nothing if
he doesn't do his part to move the nation forward. His unquestioning devotion to Goldman-Sach is not
helping move the nation forward. His ignoring all progressives for the sake of a few false promises
from a few republican or DINO congressional people is not moving the nation forward either.

Unquestioningly following his every move is not going to move the nation anywhere it needs to go. I will/have
gladly supported him when he earned it. I will not support him if I think he's doing wrong. capiche?

39. The optimum word is WE.
That's what I liked about that slogan. It's "WE" can do it. Not putting your trust in one person to do everything, but banding together to accomplish something.
