"I cannot do it alone."
I just finished delivering my first State of the Union address.

I set out an urgent plan for restoring economic security for struggling middle class families. This is my top priority, but I cannot do it alone -- and that's why I'm writing to you now.

Tonight, I called on Congress to enact reforms and new initiatives to defend the middle class -- to create millions of new jobs, support small businesses, and drive up wages; to invest in the education of our children and the clean energy technology that must power our future; and to protect the economy from reckless Wall Street abuses.

And I made my position on health reform clear: We must not walk away. We are too close, and the stakes are too high for too many. I called on legislators of both parties to find a way to come together and finish the job for the American people.

I have no illusions -- there have been setbacks, and there will be more to come. The special interests who have shaped the status quo will keep fighting tooth and nail to preserve it.

So tonight, I'm asking you to join me in the work ahead. I need your voice. I need your passion. And I need your support.

We have just finished a difficult year. We have come through a difficult decade. But a new year has come. A new decade stretches before us. We don't quit. I don't quit. Let's seize this moment -- to start anew, to carry the dream forward, and to strengthen our union once more.

Thank you for making it possible,

President Barack Obama

The letter concludes with a request to donate to OFA. Before you discount it, know that the teabaggers raised one million dollars a day during the final days of Scott Bown's campaign.

And the're not going to stop donating any time soon.

1. Unlike the "Unitary Executive" Dictator Bush, Obama is actually
trying to do things "legally".

Which means he needs us to do OUR part, as a Democracy.

Personally, I have written my Senators Alexander and Corker - and as expected they blew me off in favor of the big corps that elected them.

But I will keep trying. I will also keep writing to the local papers to try and convince them to write. But there is a lot of misinformation that I must combat. I love my neighbors, and I don't think they are stupid. They have just been lied to so much....

4. Well howdy neighbor....
... well at least we can take comfort knowing that our letters/calls to Sen Alexander and Corker weren't alone in their opposition. :)

5. Please Mr. President, I dont ask for much. Tell us you want single payer or the public
option. Please tell us that you will end these horrible wars soon. Tell us that you will immediately stop the prosecution for DADT. Close Guantanamo and stop rendition. Ask that Congress start to repeal the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act. Reestablish habeas corpus and posse comitatus. Stop domestic spying.

Some of these things you can do without Congress. The others, please at least tell us you support them.

And one more small thing. Tell Rahmbo "your fired".
