If your bag is to whine and moan / doom and gloom - Debbie Downer Stylie - all day...so be it.

6. No, it is better if you post on the Internet your laments!
After all, people will be fed, and homes will be saved that way. :sarcasm:

5. Perfect
for reminding us of what we have to be grateful for this Thanksgiving. Our President and his idealism and vision are just one of those things.

7. thanks for posting

Nice speech and that he mentioned the Nobel Prize in context of the world view outside of the rip-and-shred atmosphere within our borders.

I guess that tripod was mounted on a flexible floor or attached to a moving wall - great to see the event, but wish they had turned the video stabilizer on (g)

8. I think he was touched by Mr. Singh's words.....
.... in particular, when he quoted Lincoln "in the end it's not the years in your life that matter, but the life in your years, and you are an example of that creed."

President Obama pursed his lips in a way that I dont often see, lowered his head. I haven't seen him act that way since the speaker (and I confess I dont know his name) at Notre Dame lauded all of that praise on him. He looked both flattered and (feeling) unworthily uncomfortable at the same time.

I suppose it's normal for visiting dignitaries to heap compliments on the sitting President. That's just being a good guest.

But I dont think anyone called George Bush "inspiring."

And I dont think anyone can question the accuracy of that description for Barack Obama.
