About the gown:

First Lady Mrs. O has debuted her ensemble for the state dinner, wearing a gown by Indian-American designer Naeem Khan. The strapless gown features silver sequins on nude fabric, creating an abstract floral pattern. The custom, one-of-a-kind gown was made specially by the designer for Mrs. O to wear to the state dinner, which honors Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, and his wife, Gursharan Kaur.

Mrs. O accessorized her ensemble with oversize drop earrings, featuring a fleur de lis at each ear and tear drop shapes made of gold and purple stones. Mrs. O completed the look with a dramatic stack of bangle bracelets on her right arm, a nude wrap, and loose, romantic updo.

Earlier today Mrs. O hinted that she might turn to an Indian-American designer for her gown this evening, when she chose a skirt by Rachel Roy for the state dinner preview event. This is Mrs. O's first time publicly wearing a Naeem Khan design and what a debut! Mrs. O is bringing a modern brand of glamour to the White House, the likes of which we've not seen before.

to make it worse she went for way too much of a bad thing. Every outfit, every day had a high wide belt. Who is giving her advice (and don't say she doesn't need advice) Everyone in the public eye should learn to take advice. We all see what we want to see when we look in the mirror and we need an unbiased eye.

Michelle and I are about the same height (I'm 6'1") and I bet if she didn't have designers making her clothes she'd have as hard a time as I do finding stuff to fit her!!!!

In America, it's far more profitable to make large-sized pret-a-portet clothes than those for tall-ies like us. :shrug:
