Clinton vs Obama approval....eery
Same poll...

A Story from the USA TODAY On November 23rd 1993:

A USA TODAY/CNN /Gallup Poll taken over the weekend finds 's job approval slipped slightly to 48% from 50% a week ago, before the NAFTA vote.

From Gallup November 21st 2009:
Gallup Daily tracking from Nov. 17-19 shows President Barack Obama’s job approval slipping to 49% for the first time in his presidency before the Healthcare Bill heads to the Senate.

And I think we know how '96 went....

1. USA Today/CNN/Gallup Poll??
Yeah, they've been pret-ty friendly towards President Obama since he won the election last year, right? Great credibility there.

They all showed that Obama wouldn't win the primaries too... and I think we know how that went. Just sayin'...

4. Please list the primaries Obama won where the polls said he would lose
Thanks!

Also, please list the polls from the last week of the general election that said Obama couldn't win that either.

5. I think this destroys all the Drudge/Repub arguments...
That Obama is losing support fast. Clinton had low approval ratings before elections. He got re-elected.

7. Honestly, I think Reagan is the best parallel.
The collapse in Reagan's approval ratings was nigh-unprecedented. Like Obama, Ray-gun inherited a lousy economy, faced rising unemployment, and had lukewarm approval ratings for much of his first term. The economy recovered under Reagan (not, IMO, because of his atrocious policies), it will recover under President Obama.

1984 was a Republican landslide, 2012 will be a Democratic landslide.

6. Not so surprising
Here's what the corporate media whores are doing (and it's so transparent it's not even funny): They're taking the same story from 1993 and just changing the name of that DEMOCRATIC POTUS from "Clinton" to "Obama" and the legislation from "NAFTA" to "health care reform" to continue the narrative that what happened to Clinton (and the Democrats) is going to happen to Obama (and the Democrats)- which is, of course exactly what the corporate media whores and their Republicans masters want. See how it works? :eyes:

9. Yeah, except that similar can be said for most any President
...to link to a single President just because he was the last Democrat is ludicrous and a waste of my time to even consider.

11. A waste of OUR time of course
NOT a waste of time for the corporate media whores and Republicans whom want Obama to fail.
It does REALLY gall me that Bushco had a near 100% approval rating around this time 8 years ago simply for being asleep at the switch- costing 3000 people their lives!
Really, it's probably best, like you suggested, to not even consider anything that they have to say. They are only going to post/report information that is helpful to their ends NOT ours.
