Fort Worth – On Sunday, July 12th 2009 at 7:00 PM at the Tarrant County Courthouse, 100 E Weatherford, the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender (LGBT) community of North Texas will rally against police harassment of LGBT people.
We will be sending a strong message to the city leadership of Fort Worth:

-We are calling on the Fort Worth Police Department and the TABC to issue a full report on what transpired at the Rainbow Lounge on June 28th, 2009, and to make good on promises of an LGBT Liason and comprehensive sensitivity training for FWPD/ TABC Officers.

-We are demanding a complete independent investigation and NOT just an independent review.

-We are calling on the Mayor of Fort Worth, Mike Moncrief,and Fort Worth Police Chief, Jeffery Halstead to issue an official apology to the patrons of the Rainbow Lounge and to the North Texas LGBT community.

- We demand that serious disciplinary actions be taken against the arresting officers including the termination of the officers involved in the arrest of Chad Gibson.

We are ready to show North Texas that the LGBT Community is strong and that we will not be silenced until full justice is served, this means we need your voice! Please make plans to attend on Sunday at 7pm, and please forward this to everyone you know!
