Ex-peace commissioner inflated demobilized numbers: Ex-paramilitary chief

A former paramilitary leader accused ex-Peace Commissioner Luis Carlos Restrepo, who oversaw the demobilization of the AUC, of inflating the numbers of demobilized paramilitary members, Colombian media reported.

The ex-head of the Resistencia Tayrona Front Jose Gelvez Albarracin, alias "Canoso," alleges that Restrepo was not satisfied with the 800 paramilitary members who demobilized on March 3, 2006 and asked Canoso for more.

Because the paramilitary leader could not provide more demobilized members, the official number was inflated to 1,160 members.

Extradited paramilitary leader Hernan Giraldo Serna confirmed Canoso's claim.

1. It is not a very pretty thing--contemplating the mind-boggling HYPOCRISY...
...that Restrepo must have been getting in his face, from the Bush Junta, about these rightwing death squads (which were quickly re-organizing into the "Black Eagles"--new name, same M.O.) I would like to have been a fly-on-the-wall at the U.S. embassy in Bogota.

While they were inflating death squad demobilization figures, the Colombian military--with $7 BILLION in U.S. military aid--was also inflating its figures. Higher "body counts" needed in their wars on drugs and terror, so they lured youngsters with offers of jobs, murdered them and dressed up their bodies like FARC guerrillas, to up their numbers and earn bonuses and promotions (and kudos from Bushwhacks): the infamous "false positives" scandal.

The Bush Junta were masters at jabberwocky. And we and everyone else they ravaged are just crawling out of the "rabbit hole" they plunged the world into, where reality itself is upside down, inside and backwards, "Through the Looking Glass."

Demobilization is RE-mobilization.

Innocent youngsters are FARC guerrillas.

Hundreds of thousands of innocent dead people--in Iraq, in Colombia, in Afghanistan--were "terrorists."

The white roses must be painted red, because the Red Queen will chop off your head if you don't paint them HER color.
