Venezuelan Government implements program to guarantee food product sales at regulated prices
The Venezuelan News agency announced the Venezuelan government has a new program to guarantee the supply of food products to the people at regulated prices.

Edward Bracho, manager of supply and marketing for the Integral de Mercados y Almacenes (Inmerca), a state organization, announced that 15 inspectors will be posted at Choche Market in Caracas, to make sure speculation is stopped, and first class meat cuts are sold at the regulated price.

Also, a special supply of chicken will be sold at prices BELOW the regulated price, by the executive branch of government. Chicken will also be delivered to be sold at regulated prices in municipal markets. This is part of a government campaign to end the stockpiling and speculation of chickens and other foodstuffs.

Note: Inflation in Venezuela has been running at 25 to 30 % per year. High prices are a serious concern for the poor, whose income isn't keeping up with inflation.
