(Honduras) Lobo's niece, husband assassinated
Edited on Sat Jul-31-10 09:12 PM by rabs

Talk about a convoluted explanation by Oscar Alvarez, Lobo's Security Minister

-- Niece Claudia Lobo assassinated on Thursday. Unknown gunmen. Attack was aimed at her husband, who is linked to various crimes and was a fugitive (there was an arrest warrant for homicide).

-- The couple were killed and their daughter wounded in Catacamas, central Honduras.

-- "The fact that she was with him was what caused her death, because she was in the company of the wrong person (who) had pending issues, which is why there were other criminals who wanted to even the score with him, and she was killed in the crossfire."

TeleSUR _ Hace: 12 horas

edit to add: So, the husband of the president's niece was a criminal wanted for homicide, among other crimes. And Lobo did not know that, or turned a blind eye? Story has been buried in the Honduran media now.

1. Extremely ODD, almost a rebuke to the neice for being married to this guy someone wanted to murder.
He must have been someone they needed to get out of the way in a hurry, couldn't afford to have running around loose any longer.

Thanks for the truly breaking news. I wonder if ANY part of the truth will ever be known outside the golpista circle.

I'll bet he knew Goriletti's son (or was it nephew?) who was taken with an associate out in a field and executed.
