Prensa LatinaAsuncion, Mar 19 (Prensa Latina) Vice President of TSJE (High Court of Electoral Justice) of Paraguay, Juan Manuel Morales, ratified on Wednesday the holding of the country's general elections on April 20.
Along with TSJE President Rafael Dendia, Morales dismissed rumors of an alleged postponement of the polls, while stressing that printers will deliver needed documents on time.
As of today, candidates are allowed to use the media in their campaigns. This permit will be in force until three days before the polls.
Presidential candidate of Alianza Patriotica para el Cambio, former bishop Fernando Lugo, remains the favourite, followed by Colorado Party's Blanca Ovelar or retired Gen. Lino Oviedo.
