The man executed was José Eduardo Callejas.

Witness said two men aboard a motorcycle forced the victim to get out of his car and seconds later shot him one time in the head. The gunmen fled on the motorcycle. The assassins spared a passenger in the car with Callejas, according to a witness.

There is as yet no motive.

The victims was the brother of Rafael Callejas, National Party president from 1990 to 1994 and one of the most corrupt presidents in Honduran history.

1. Very strange personal information. He attended Mississippi State.
It seems to be a companion act to the kidnapping of another politician's father.

This is uncharacteristic of the Honduran resistance since the beginning of the golpistas' sacking of the government.

This information hasn't been carried in U.S. corporate media so far. Thanks for the REAL news, rabs.

2. Here's something from La Tribuna posted 22 minutes ago:

TEGUCIGALPA .-The brother of former President Rafael Leonardo Callejas was killed dead by two gunmen on board a motorcycle near the Judicial Morgue in Havana.

The victim, Jose Eduardo Callejas, (48) gave about noon the documentation of a housing project in Zambrano to his colleague, was surprised by the two alleged gunmen who forced him to get off the vehicle he was driving and subsequently shot and killed him instantly.

The incident occurred on a dirt road that leads to the Judicial Morgue a sale of plants, Suyapa Boulevard, near the Hospital Escuela.

According to the witness, who did not provide his name for security reasons, said he met with Jose Eduardo Callejas in a workshop where they were repairing the vehicle of the brother of former president to receive a development project in which apparently were partners.

As told, the two strangers arrived on a motorcycle is parked and "neck down" to Callejas "to shoot" and then ordered to escort "to lower her head so she did not see" the action to execute.

"He was shot. I threatened, "he said.

After the murder the two men, who wore a shirt out and covered his head with a cap, were in the "old bike" that moved, he said.

Callejas was transported in a van, Chevrolet, black. His body was lying in the street next to the vehicle, while their murderers fled the place immediately.

Meanwhile the spokesman for the attorney general, Lorena Calix said Callejas investigating the murder of men who pulled the truck he was riding in and shot him at close range.

The former nationalist president (1990-1994) who came in person to the sector, tersely told reporters that his brother was involved "real estate" and was "19 years younger," he

He said at the time had "no comment I'm very concerned," we are here to do the lifting of the body. "This has caused deep pain to my family ... and I can not talk."

The fact is recorded in a time when Honduras is experiencing a political crisis following the coup against President Manuel Zelaya, 28 June, with no solution in sight.

Rafael Callejas was president of Honduras from 1990 to 1994 and currently holds the Football Association (FENAFUT) in the country.

VIOLENT DEATHS TO OFFICIALS

The deaths of Callejas, a civil engineer by profession, joins a series of murders and attacks committed recently against family and government officials in Honduras.

Including the assassination of the mayor of Jocón, Yoro, Nelson Javier Portillo Carias, and just hours after the release of businessman Alfredo Jalil, father of Deputy Defense Minister of the de facto government of Honduras, Gabo Jalil.

Additionally, a nephew of President Roberto Micheletti and an army colonel who was chief of the military industry, which occurred separately on October 25.

Also, Attorney General Luis Rubi was shot Saturday as he left his farm in Comayagua, about 130 kilometers north of Tegucigalpa. He traveled with his wife and two grandchildren. All escaped unharmed.

On November 4, gunmen fired at the mayor of Virtue, Arnulfo Rodriguez and his Deputy Mayor Santos Ramos while participating in political activities. Were unharmed, but one of the attackers died.

4. Lots of stuff coming out of Honduras today

Golpista TV station today reported Zelaya had beaten up his wife Xiomara and that she had been taken to the Military Hospital. Report said Padre Tamayo had also been badly beaten when he intervened.

The report is a lie.

Globos just interviewed Xiomara, who is in the Brazilian Embassy with Zelaya, and she denounced the ugly rumors the golpista media is propagating.

------

A Guatemalan priest named Miguel Angel Hernández was found dead today, stabbed to death. He was kidnapped by several men a days ago in western Honduras.

-----------------------

Insulza today said it would be "difficult" that the OAS would be sending observers to monitor the elections.

So, the gorilettis will be importing hundreds of "election observers" from various countries, including the United States. Reported in golpista press today.

---

Craig Kelly, Shannon's sidekick, arrived in Tegus today to try to whitewash the "coup within a coup" Shannon left last week. It will be just another wasted trip. Next Hillary will be sending her grandmother and Obama's mama to set things right !!

Think it is hilarious that Shannon's posting to Brasilia is being held up by that repub senator from Florida. Actually the repub may be doing Shannon a favor because don't think Shannon will be well received by Lula da Silva and Celso Amorin after the Shannon-led screwup in Tegus.

I hope Lula keeps Shannon cooling his heels when and if it comes time to present his credentials to Itamaraty.

5. Shameless clumsy lies only an idiot, or a rightwinger would believe.
The lady clown from the US, living in San Pedro Sula, married to a former death squad soldier, who infested this forum to smear Zelaya only a heartbeat ahead of the coup generously informed us of the story Zelaya's father had murdered people and buried them on his estate in Honduras.

If their lips are moving, or if they're online, they are LYING.

The priest was possibly a Liberation Theology person, possibly? That would get him killed by an oligarch's hired thugs.

You're right: worse things could happen than sliding creepy Tom Shannon into place in Brazil during its Lula created prosperity. Brazil deserves the respect of dealing with non-meddling diplomats. I hope the world finds ways to help them learn what it is to be diplomats, rather than provocateurs, and coup merchants.
