It needs wide exposure. There are still so many people completely ignorant of what has been going on so long in our names. They need to wake the #### up and have a slight grasp of what has been happening to the people in these smaller, helpless countries, rather than living in blissful, self-centered ignorance for the rest of their lives.

JOHN PERKINS: Yeah. The democratically elected president, Zelaya, had called for a new constitution to replace the old one that was really set up by the oligarchy in favor of the very, very, very wealthy and the international companies. He also called for a 60 percent increase in the bottom wage rate, which had a huge impact on Dole and Chiquita, two of the biggest employers in that company. They, along with a number of companies that have sweatshops in Honduras, strongly objected, very much the same way that they had objected to Aristide in Haiti, when he did something similar, and called in the military.

We're about to get it (actually, we are getting it) dropped on our own collective asses right here in the USA.

Very sadly, but luckily, I'm in the midst of preparations to move out of here (going to lose my shirt in those fake green pieces of paper, AKA: the US dollar, but I'm sure it will pay unmeasurable dividends).

I fell in love with a woman and her country. She's gone, but Ecuador isn't.
