Why Colombia's successful president should not seek another term in office

What in the world has come over the Washington Post? It has finally seen the light regarding Uribe?

Granted, the editorial is wishy-washy in bending over and lauding Uribe to the heavens but in the end, the main point is that Uribe should step down.

That means that Mr. Uribe -- who has not yet said whether he will seek to remain in office -- must be challenged to undertake what might be his most impressive feat yet. He should exercise the check on himself that Colombia voters would forgo and step down after his current term ends.

would it cause some anxiety in Colombia if Uribe decided NOT to run? probably.
