Drug smuggler with busted leg is busted for cocaine cast

A 66-year-old Chilean man with a broken leg was arrested for trying to smuggle 11 pounds of cocaine into Spain — including a cast made from the drug.

Spanish police think the man's shin may have been broken intentionally so he could move through airport security undetected. He was sent to a clinic for an operation to fix the "open fracture."

His 2-pound coke cast was detected when police sprayed it with a chemical that turns blue when cocaine is present. Police said it was the first time they had seen a cast made entirely of compressed cocaine ...

1. What a price to pay. The cops believe he had it broken deliberately to set up this charade.

His leg inside was clearly in bad shape.
