2. Biden's Amendment -
Something else was just offered that has wide bipartisan support.

Senator Alexander just presented it and said there was a large group of Senators that have signed on to it.
It is to follow the Iraq Study Groups suggestions.

Does anybody here know what type of political solution the ISG offers??

3. I just found this
This is dated 9/9, so I am not sure if the list below has changed.

Co-sponsors of the Alexander-Salazar Iraq Study Group amendment:

DEMOCRATS

Ken Salazar, Colorado

Mark Pryor, Arkansas

Robert Casey, Pennsylvania

Blanche Lincoln, Arkansas

Bill Nelson, Florida

Mary Landrieu, Louisiana

Claire McCaskill, Missouri

Kent Conrad, North Dakota

REPUBLICANS

Lamar Alexander, Tennessee

Bob Bennett, Utah

Judd Gregg, New Hampshire

John Sununu, New Hampshire

Susan Collins, Maine

Pete Domenici, New Mexico

Arlen Specter, Pennsylvania
---------------------------------
I know that Specter is supposed to sign on the the Biden amendment.

Is this anything we should be concerned about?

The bottom line is that we need to have a plan to get out of Iraq, no matter what. Politics should not play a part in getting out of there in a safe manner. I just hope this doesn't take away from people signing onto Biden's amendment.

Here's the link to Alexandar's plan:
