For some strange reason, the past year has been a rather "fat" year. Almost everyone I know has gained weight, even my doctor. Do you suppose it's contagious?

6. I think a lot of people are feeling stressed.

There's a lot of anxiety over the future, jobs, the economy, housing prices. So much going on & yet many of us feel we have little control over it. I know when I'm stressed my life style choices go in the dumper. I drink too much, I eat too much & I exercise too little. It all adds up to a tire around my middle.

My dog has been on a diet/exercise routine too. However, he constantly tells me that we both look better fat & I should "just order a damned pizza already!" ;)

Also if the body perceives "hard times" ahead, it could be storing fat for the upcoming famine.
