1. I responded to the post and said that it will be interesting to see if he
phrases it that way again.

When I read your subject line, I thought McCain had said that about Biden. I don't know which would be sadder. I'm really curious as to what precipitated this.

2. Unfortunately I saw this happening way back around 9/11
when McLame would barely give Joe the time of day during the events of 9/11 and Joe had to sneak in to see McCain. John McCain seems to want to win at all costs and would seem to throw a plus 30 year friendship under the bus to win the presidency. I also think Joe has been rightly turned off by John's ugly tactics. I wonder if they will speak again after the election is over. It is sad though.
