I saw Joe this morning.

He was fantastic! I got there early and it was a small venue, so I was right up front. While he was being introduced, he was glancing around the crowd. When he spotted me, I swear his eyes lit up a bit, he smiled, sort of chuckled, and waved. I think it was my "Bidenite" baseball cap that did it. After his fantastic speech, he went around and shook hands, so I got to shake, too. I brought my copy of his book with me to read while I was waiting for the event to start. After the speech, they took posters and stuff back to him to sign, and I got my book signed and dated. I am thrilled.

His speech was wonderful, and the crowd was very responsive. Great experience. He is incredible. :bounce:

I didn't notice the cuffs. I did notice the tidy kerchief in his pocket. He got that from his dad, right? I think he mentioned this in his book somewhere towards the beginning.

4. I was sooooo geeked.

I had a hard time getting to sleep last night, and I was up before my alarm went off. The event was in St. Clair Shores, MI, this morning at 11am. There were only about 1,200 or so there. I was about the 20th in line to get in.

It was a great experience. I'm sure he'll be comin' your way some time before Nov.

12. Good morning! Hat pic...

Here's the hat. I had it made at one of those little kiosks in a mall. A very nice man with a thick accent (maybe Middle Eastern?...it was hard to understand him at times.) made it. I enjoyed watching him trim up the threads, and the care he took in setting the hat up for stitching. Just another hard-working American, who takes pride in what they do.

He was an Obama supporter, and said Joe looked like an honest, smart man. He was talking about how hard it is for a little business like his to get by. Every year it's gotten worse, so something had to change. One more vote for the team!
