Question for Biden Supporters...
Would you feel somewhat vindicated if Biden gets the VP nod?

2. in a word, yeah. More broadly
I'll be happy with any of a number of possible VPs, but I hope it's one of the older experienced knowledgeable types without family scandal/drama. I'm strange that way.

3. Honestly...
It would go a long way in making me feel better. I have been so bitter since Biden dropped out.

4. It would make me feel "somewhat" better
and over time maybe a LOT better. Right now I am so glad he is getting the recognition that has evaded him for so long. I am so tired of the stupid Biden jokes and snarks.

And today Chris Matthews said he recently read Biden's book and referred to a couple of items in the book. All the arguments we've been making for a year, were finally being made on TV. It was like WE were sitting there on Hardball!

5. I warned you about
being too attached to a particular outcome. This is a good result. No matter what, Joe is going to be front and center, influencing the next administration. We are so blessed. I'm about to burst.

7. Hey, Paige!
I'd feel good because it would show people the "real" Joe, and that despite all the "experts" here on DU, he really has a lot to bring to the table and to the ticket.

I would feel REALLY vindicated if Obama's numbers skyrocketed - or even just took a big bounce up, after the announcement.
THEN I could be like - I told you so!

But for Joe, I'd rather see him get the SOS slot. I think he'd be happier there - such a distinguished and deserving role with which to finish his career.

:pals: :hi:

10. Yeah - I'm thinking that, too.
As a matter of fact it was you who got me considering from something you posted in a thread a few days ago. That would work well in so many ways.

Joe is Veep now to help the ticket
He gets his SOS dream in four years
The "new guy" gets ushered in and has four years preparing to take over for Obama

And everybody lives happily ever after. :loveya:

11. all I care about right now is not McCain
it'll take years and years to undo the damage of BushCheney - it's going to be a huge effort for many leading Dems to take on, whatever their job titles.

Joe could also be U.N. Ambassador - I have Gore lined up for that for the next 4 years ;)

14. Yeah, and my husband will owe me money too.
I bet him $50 after Joe dropped out that he'd be the VP pick.
