My husband is a RABID hardcore scuba diver, so any place we go, has to include water. :rofl: Croatia is about 660km from us by car, and it is really easy to get to, cross southwest though Austria, down to Udine Italy, then Trieste, and over through Slovenia to Croatia, and Krk is the first big island in the Dalmatian pearls. It was a cool trip. Except for the traffic on the way home. Many of the German Bundesländer end their summer vacay today, and many people go to Croatia for the above reasons (cheap, close, warmth, sun and ocean) So it as a clusterfuck driving back through the tunnels of Austria. I got all excited because some of the mountains in Austria still have SNOW. We haven't had a heat wave this year. Yet. :D
