Guess where I WAS yesterday....
DELAWARE!!! Probably about 7 miles from Joe's house.

I felt the Biden vibe. :D

1. Be still my heart!
I would have searched out the house and driven by. Several times.

How cool for YOU!

4. Well, if I hadn't had the whole family in the car
who thinks I am nuts anyhow -- I would have gone over to Rt. 52 and tried to find his neighborhood. LOL.

He IS up for re-election this November, correct?

10. You know what I love?
My name is real life is Jill.
So when people say "Joe and Jill" I can smile for a second or two :P

Here is a totally embarassing story. About 1 year ago I was invited to be in on a conference call with Biden. It was right before a debate. Naturally I was one of the first people to call in and there was some dead time. So I chirped right up and gave Biden a pep-talk telling him how he was better qualified of anyone on that stage. His response? You remind me of my wife, Jill. She is always leaving me notes and saying things like that. He didn't sound like he appreciated it.
I kept my mouth shut during the rest of the phone call. :silly:

12. Once a man is married, there is no higher compliment
he can give another woman than to tell her she reminds him of his wife that he loves very much.

14. No - I have been married for 27 years, and I can guarantee you that when my husband
tells someone they remind him of me...it's *not* a good thing :P

13. P -- I'm sure he thought it was wonderful!
It was just Joe sardonic humor.

God -- I would have KILLED to be on a conference call with him. But I would have had to breathe into a paper bag for the entirety, so thankfully I wouldn't have been able to contribute. I would have loved to have heard you - I know you were marvelous! :pals:

23. Oh No!!!
That was a wonderful story and you weren't an idiot. That sounded very much like the sort of thing Joe would say and with humor. Being compared to his wife was a positive thing.

Can't believe you kept that a secret for a YEAR!

17. last week I was on a family car trip to D.C.
Edited on Mon Jun-30-08 09:18 PM by JoeIsOneOfUs
Didn't see much of Delaware, and didn't go in the Capitol (tons of security, wait lists for tours), and there were small children in tow. But it was neat to feel close to government, and to our favorite Senator. My family couldn't believe Biden commuted back and forth to DE.

24. I got yelled at in the car because I told my mom and my daughters
TWICE that Joe was up for reelection this fall. My mom teased me about having a brain disease, and my daughters said YEAH WE HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME. We have a bad habit of interrupting one another, and 4 conversations going on simultaneously, so I JUST wanted to make sure everyone got the message.

I couldn't help it, I was passing by Smith's Bridge Rd. which goes over to 52, right near Biden's house.
