I'm with you. "We" have made an incredible mistake, haven't "we"? Unfortunately, the implications for our country and the rest of the world may be devastating. (Yeah, Ms. Sunshine has not been feeling particularly upbeat lately.)

5. Can we have a do-over?

Maybe I'm delusional, but I know I'm not alone. "We" have so screwed up. JC on a trailer hitch, "we" have screwed up.
And you know what? I'm really tired of trying to keep up with all this crap-ola. I don't want to have to go another 4 years, or 8 years, or whatever trying to keep track of these jackass criminals. The only good thing I can think about it, is that it will keep my mind active, but I'm pretty sure I could do that trying to save endangered animals, or helping to make sure those in need get help, or dog breeding for that matter.
We need Biden. Our country needs Biden.
As you can probably tell, Ms. Sunshine has not improved her attitude. Grrrrrr.

And I miss my frog. I'm not sure I can keep this Skinner sig until August or November. Damn crabby frog made me feel better. Ribbit...

6. You definitely are not alone, livvy.

I feel the same way. It's like watching someone making their way through hell dying of thirst and then they finally come upon a fountain gushing with cool, clean water, and instead of drinking, deciding to look for water elsewhere, and you, the observer, know full well that there is no water anywhere else and that the dehydrated wanderer will surely die of thirst. You're left scratching your head wondering why in the hell he did stop and drink from that perfect fountain.

It's not just losing the opportunity to have a great president at a time when just a good president would be a godsend. It's also the feeling that if we couldn't figure this out, what can we figure out? Real hope becomes something you just have to conjure up out of thin air, a chimera. Like you, I'm trying to wean myself off of politics and on to things that have some positive aspect to them, things I have some real influence on, or hell, just doing some more reading.

7. The problem is...

I've become really attached to this Constitution thing. I've read it so many times and the Bill of Rights, too. I've started reading the Federalist papers, and other documents related to the time period when these documents were written. They are so good, not perfect, but really, really good. They had it all figured out, every abuse and how to deal with it. Every detail, so applicable to every situation. Timeless. That's pretty incredible.

And to see this outstanding work, undone, in less than a lifetime, is unspeakable.

And why doesn't everyone else see it? I guess some don't see the truth until it hits them in the ass. Unfortunately, by then it is sometimes too late. Your ass is gone.
