Hello you good Biden people.
If any of you are around, and are inclined, this is an interesting post, IMO:

--on fake moral outrage as a means of division in world & U.S. politics.

Pleaes throw in if you have a moment. If not, I fully understand.

Thanks in advance if you can make it and happy January in any case.

1. Hi OC!
I've been wondering where you were lately. You are one of the few voices of sanity out there in the jungle we call GDP. Most of us venture out there periodically, but the atmosphere is so toxic we don't last long.

Thanks for the link. I saw that one earlier, but haven't had a chance to respond yet. Maybe one more cup of coffee!

2. Pat, hi to you right back, and I hope you venture out into GDP any time
you want.

The Biden DU Group absolutely distinguished itself for conduct WELL in excess of expectations and requirements.

There is some serious mud-slinging out there on the boards, true -- but the Biden Group people have never been its genesis and often were the ones trying to keep a lid on things and keep the tone civil.

Not at all unlike your candidate, come to think of it, to whom more Iowans should have lent their attention.

3. I do venture out now and then
but I have to keep the trips short to maintain my equilibrium. Now I can appreciate the benefits of avoiding the mud-slinging, knowing I will end up supporting a candidate that I was critical of before.

Most of us here are now in the process of refocusing our energies and it takes time. I am pretty much fed up with the media and have serious concerns about the caucuses. Right now I know I'm not going to get what I want, so I'm trying to want I get. It takes some adjustments and compromise, but I'm getting there.

4. My take is that the decision you make will be the correct one.
Take all the time you want.

And if you want some motivation for non-DU colleagues on a candidate, show them the Republican field! That ought to bring them around to the blue team real fast.

5. I was thinking along the same lines
Bombard the board with posts about the republican candidates and Bush as a reminder of what we are really fighting. Any of our candidates' shortcomings would be insignificant in comparison.
