Latest developments. eBay Trading Assistant coming Sunday to look.
I went through all his profile info, checked his feedback and also the comments he made to others from whom he bought.
He has been selling on eBay for 11 years and had a 100% rating. He sells a mixed bag of merchandise including antiques. There is not much listed similar to what I have but I don't think that matters as long as the photo and wording are correct.
Fee is $25% over $100.00, 30% under.

I will have questions for him, including things like length of listing, what happens if the goods do not sell.
He starts at something like 99 cents, and does not use a reserve.
This is all so new that I wonder if there are points I should clear with him before going forward.

I hope he is enthusiastic and takes all this stuff out of my life. I know I could sell myself but the instructions on eBay are complicated to a newcomer and I note that all the fees and pay pal fees can add up. I would have to buy boxes and wrapping and this whole procedure would take me so long that I would miss the Christmas opportunity.

This is more complicated than I thought.
In the future, when this is over, I plan to learn how to use eBay myself. I may find more stuff around here to list.
Any hints are helpful.
Keep you all posted.

1. Good luck.
I don't really like that 99 cents and no reserve stuff. That means you could have something of value actually sell for 99 cents because it didn't happen to attract bidders. Let us know what his ebay user name is so we can take a look at the auctions and maybe bid.

3. He sounds pretty good, but you might want to discuss that 99 cent thing.

4. also, do you get a chance to review the listing before he actually posts it there?
I've never used a trading assistant, but I'm thinking that would be a good step. That way you could point out any errors he might make in describing it.

7. Great
that you have taken this step forward. I went into this blind also, not knowing a thing about the reseller but it could be I just got lucky. All I can say is I have never been dissatisfied with her work. But I do agree a good honest reseller will not mind your questions. My reseller usually inventory's my items and we decide on what the bid starts out as. You can also try BIN which states your price you expect for the item.
