Ebay's customer service has really gone into the crapper!
I missed an auction I wanted to bid on, and was trying to contact the seller to ask them to relist. WELL, eBay has now implemented a new "captcha" feature that doesn't let you send the message unless you enter the series of numbers in the captcha correctly. Only it never works, even when you DO enter them correctly.
So I'm trying to report this bug to eBay. You can't just send them an email anymore. You go round and round on their "contact customer service" pages, and of course, there is no answer to MY question in their little menu of "common error messages and technical problems." I am now sitting in their live chat Q at number 21 for an issue that I doubt the person who answers will be able to address. I guess they're worried I"m going to try and buy the item off eBay, but all I wanted to do was ask them to relist again. The seller's ME page does not have any contact info at all, or I would contact them that way.

1. I had a similar problem a couple of weeks ago. I noticed I had
stopped getting emails advising me of people making offers on my stuff and tried to contact ebay. It's impossible! Very frustrating. I finally went to plan B and found out it was a problem on the server and not ebay. All the same, they ought to make contacting them easier.

3. Not that I'm any fan of Meg, but I think it's the new guy in charge
who has initiated the current clusterfuck. I will admit it was ALWAYS difficult to find ways to contact eBay customer service, but now they make it almost impossible.

4. How about a work-around
If the person has another item listed perhaps you would be able to send them a "question" via that listing.

Hope you had luck by now.

5. It was stinking Firefox!
They did change to the captcha thing, but it doesn't work in Firefox! I went back to the item I posted on eBay's community boards and one of the seller's had posted a reply to use IE instead. I did, and finally got hold of the seller. She relisted it for me!
