though 21% say they're riding more than ever before, and another 4% say they've just started riding recently.

With numbers like that, it's no wonder the anti-transit forces are gathering thousands of signatures for a ballot initiative to block a rail transit syatem (yet again). :grr:

edit: the American Public Transit Ass'n named TheBus "America's best Transit System" twice within the last decade. Go figure. :eyes:

The Center for Transportation Excellence(http://www.cfte.org/critics/default.asp) has lots of good resources for pro-transit campaigns. I know I have posted that link before, but it doesn't hurt to reiterate.
