N.J. court clears stem cell vote
"TRENTON, N.J. - Abortion foes on Friday lost another bid to stop New Jersey voters from deciding whether to borrow $450 million for stem cell research.

An appeals court ruled the Nov. 6 ballot question was fair, rejecting claims that it improperly failed to explain the money would allegedly fund human cloning and be paid back through property taxes.

The three-judge panel rejected those claims as baseless and said that including such information on the ballot would make the question too lengthy and confusing to voters.

The opinion, written by Judge Clarkson S. Fisher Jr., found arguments over stem cell research were better left to political campaigning, not a ballot question"

Tax issues aside,
What, pray tell, do "abortion opponents" think SHOULD be done with unused, frozen embryo's that end up getting tossed anyway? Has anyone seen any protests outside of "fertility clinics" lately? Any fertility specialists being legally railroaded? Death threats? Bombings?

1. I'm very proud of my state!
"What, pray tell, do "abortion opponents" think SHOULD be done with unused, frozen embryo's that end up getting tossed anyway?" If they had their way, shrines would be built in honor of the "snowflakes" and they'd be honored with moments of silence during the 7th inning stretch.

"Has anyone seen any protests outside of "fertility clinics" lately? Any fertility specialists being legally railroaded? Death threats? Bombings?" No, because the forced birth movement is grounded on intellectual dishonesty.

2. Yay--New Jersey!
:applause:

and excellent points, btw. It IS dishonest. I also believe it to be more about controlling women than anything else. Once the woman is no longer involved, they aren't quite as interested apparently. ;)
