The 2.2 billion cut is in addition to 12 billion that was cut just a few months ago
Yes, sorry it's fox news but you can find this in other places, the figure is accurate:

But the bill also requires that $12 billion be stripped from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as food stamps, to help fund the new bill, prompting some Democrats to cringe at the notion of cutting back on one necessity to pay for another. The federal assistance program currently helps 41 million Americans.



But I guess most people here that are telling poor people how little 2.2 billion over 10 years is have already forgotten what happened just a few months ago. The food stamp program is grossly underfunded and this is a second cut in just a few months. Anyone defending this crap needs to stop. We should be increasing this funding, not chopping away at it.
