If we're measuring success by party headquarters chiefs, then we should be in absolute awe of the brilliant and effective Michael Steele, who did such a good job for the REpublicans.

Let's get real folks: the party chair is not much of a big deal, and shares both blame and credit with the DSCC and DCCC chairs, Senator Robert Mendendez last year and Chris van Hollen.
