I think poster is talking about the Tax Cut package. It just died. House Dems killed it.
HAHA!

Now they need to separate out the unemployment insurance and tax cuts for the middle class.

4. what? Did Congress finally decide to stop hiding behind the President
. . .and actually do their job in defending these middle-income tax breaks? Or, are they just going to pass another doa bill on to the Senate?

8. Per C-SPAN:
The House Democratic Caucus today voted against taking up the White House-GOP arranged tax package unless changes are made in bill.Read More »

President Obama has been pushing Congress to quickly pass the bill to ensure the nation's economic stability, but several legislators have balked at the proposal due to aspects regarding the estate tax and the continuation of upper income tax cuts.

Today, the House will take up the Taxpayer Assistance Act of 2010, which the Senate passed by unanimous consent last night. The bill calls for reducing taxpayer burdens and the enhancement of taxpayer protections under the federal tax code.

Other legislation left for congressional members include the passage of a Continuing Resolution (CR) to fund the federal government in the absence of a permanent budget for FY2011. Last week, Congress passed a temporary CR that is set to expire on December 18.
