They've never worked for us, not since the day of making free money
from writing laws that benefit certain corporations. We're just along for the ride. If we hit the bigtime, kudos to us. If we don't, paycheck to paycheck to paycheck is the way of life.

Doesn't really matter.

I believe SOME are trying, I do. Henry Waxman is, no one can deny that one. I think the real problem is most work in the interest of whatever corporation 'put them there'. Takes a lot of money to be in charge, not just anyone can do it.

Seriously, they don't work for us. Last time I checked, my income didn't go up by 120 billion dollars. Anyone else? Anyone get a fat check from the government worth billions?

Anyone?

1. I started doing a little research...
after reading "America's Sixty Family's", "The Rich and the Super-Rich" both by Ferdinand Lundberg, and blazing through...not really reading..."The Power Elite" by C. Wright Mills, and "White Collar Crime" by Edwin H. Sutherland.
I took ten of the most profitable corporations, according to Fortune, and ten of the most profitable Defense Corporations...according to the US Government, and listed all the members of the various boards of directors. So far, it's been pretty interesting..and amazing how many high-profile positions the same person can have on the various boards of..Chemical, Energy, Defense, Manufacturing and Banking Corporations. One year director for Exxon-Mobil, next year Chevron. Reminds me of..."They turn in clusters, because their roots connect them."
