They have betrayed the public trust by campaigning as Democrats and then switching after winning the election.

Not one month ago, state Rep. Doug McKillip of Athens was elected the No. 2 Democrat in the House, as caucus chair behind House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams.

1. Georgia politics is full of snake handlers and carpetbaggers.
Case in point - Newt Gingrich.

This heavily christian state has more EVIL people per square mile than hell does.

6. Another case in point - Zell Miller
I couldn't agree with you more. Our state Democratic Party leaves much to be desired, and our state politics are f***ed as a result.

2. Why complain? We did this to ourselves despite repeated warnings

not to vote for the lesser of two evils just because it looks lesser. Evil will always return to the dark side.

The party was infiltrated and co-opted long ago. We tolerated it.

10. Oh we're all getting ponies... they'll just be ground up in the catfood we'll be eating when we

retire.

I am a state employee in GA. This does not bode well for me. I even voted for that son-of-a-bitch.

12. You live in GA?
What's your point if you don't? Who do you think is available as candidates in some of these places in the deep South?

15. I'm in Athens but in district 114 so I didn't have the displeasure of voting for that SOB.

But I am thinking times are going to be hard on those of us who have the misfortune of working for the University of Georgia. Nationally we're represented by Barack "waiting for superman" Obama. Locally we're represented by teabagger congressmen and turncoats in the statehouse. Theres no one at any level of Gov't anymore who speaks for us.

I guess we'll be having furloughs again next year, and what those don't take from us inflation will.

13. And if they all switched?
Would it really matter?

I'm not so sure. That letter after your name, (D) or (R), really doesn't dictate your vote. Otherwise we'd not have the abbreviations "DINO" and "RINO", and one vote could stand for them all.

On the other hand, I think it's a scurvey thing to do. Then again, I thought the same with Jim Jeffords' post-election conversion. Note that the reasons probably weren't much different.

14. These cocknuckle teabaggers ranted and raved about "communism" and "Nazi's" and now they're getting

a one-party state.
