Waters wants investigation of ethics committee
http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/132351-waters-wants-investigation-of-ethics-committee

Rep. Maxine Waters plans to bring a privileged resolution to the floor that calls for an independent investigation of the House ethics committee.

Waters (D-Calif.) has accused the ethics panel of having a weak case against her after it called off her trial last month, citing the discovery of new evidence.

A draft resolution obtained by CNN asks the House Speaker to "appoint a bipartisan task force to investigate the circumstances and cause of the decision" to place two committee lawyers on administrative leave following missteps made in the investigation.

The resolution asks that the panel "report its findings and recommendations to the House of Representatives during the second session of this Congress.

The move is the latest act of defiance by Waters, a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee, against the ethics committee.

A privileged resolution forces the House to vote on the matter within two days.

6. You know, in my Theory of Everything, since the greedsters
disproportionately prey on people of color -- thinking, in vote caging, in predatory lending, in a two tiered justice system that incarcerates young black men and profits from that for example, it makes perfect sick sense for them to target their champions in Congress.

I've been over and over the docs in the "case" against Maxine. It's bullshit.

4. Wasn't the COE created during this session and run by Democrats?
So the shrillest voice in Congress is attacking her own party

7. The shrillest voice in Congress? Oh, effing please.
There's a least a hundred Republican wingnuts who deserve that title, not Maxine, who is one of the most reliably progressive voices in the House.
