I won't be posting on DU much after tonight....
Because tomorrow I'm gonna go after one of them there new jobs that big business has been afraid to create because of so much uncertainty regarding their tax break.

My only dilemma will be which job offer to accept. I'm sure there will be a brazillion of them to choose from.

Happy days are here again!

8. Aren't the unemployment benefits extended, too?
Because that means you're just gonna sit around, sucking up those free checks and not be motivated to go out and get a job, you slacker! That's what a lot of Republicans were assuring me over the last several months, and since they were on the teevee all the time, I know I'm supposed to believe them, because they're so brave and honest and would never, ever cynically manipulate a political issue solely for political advantage.

I'd say this puts you rather in a pickle! Take one of those newly-created jobs, or recline on your sit-upon sucking up benefits. What'll it be? What will it be?

Now that that is done, there will be so many jobs for the American working class to choose from that we will have to beg people to come over the borders to help fill them.

35. It has pretty much been demonstrated

That taxes have nothing to do with jobs. Jobs depend on economic growth. The correlation there is very high, whereas there's no correlation between economic growth and taxes. None.

The Repubs (and with Obama's cave in, I might as well say they're in power) are applying flat-earth economics. This economy has structural problems. It's not getting any better. When it doesn't get any better, and when we have a Republican president in 2012, people will by then know who to blame.

Or enough of them will.
