20. Why do you say that? I'm thinking it can't look too rosy for the
Republicans, either.

6. In the 60's during the height of the conflict...
in Southeast Asia...a lot of Protesters asked for information on government
actions and were told that average Americans couldn't possibly understand
what was going on.

So atrocities happened while our eyes were blindered.

I vote YES

7. Absolutely "Yes"
Although I'm sure that, since it's MSNBC, Murdoch's RadioRwanda will jump on a positive response as sure proof that we're all FascIslmUnists.

10. Put in my 2 cents
"In America, the people govern"- George Washington

The only way we can govern is if we have full disclosure about the actions of our own government.

28. I voted no. This does not just open up things about the US.
It crosses all national boundaries, and is going to throw lots of things off the track. I predict that it will be a disaster for international relations, and not just for the US.

Taking a broader view seems important to me. It is not all about us.

30. I agree with your whole post--it's not just about us.
I also wondered today if we are outing operatives...

did't we dislike that when it happened to Valerie Plame?

To do otherwise would be the position of lunacy. Who on earth would agreed that classified information should be made available on the internet?
