A serious thought; do you think DU will be attacked over Wikileaks discussions?

For those of you who cannot put 2+2 together, since Wikileaks is under a denial of service attack, and a shitload of Bit torrent sites were shut down in the last few days, does it make a little sense now?

You can go buy a botnet for under $1k that will bring major infrastructures to their knees.

A bunch of torrent sites (peer to peer data transfer) were shut down , and once wikileaks posted the cables, they got DOS'd down

My guess they are trying to contain the leak, but its too late. All you need is one copy out there, and boom, its not secure


You can thank BUSH for that too, he (Cheney, really) chose not to go with a full endpoint-to-endpoint security system. Siprnet is where any of these cables can be accessed, and if they had set it up, no laptop or system would be able to connect to Siprnet unless all endpoints (USB cables, disks, etc) were shutdown, and the data could not be copied.

This is possible, but they wanted to be CHEAP

talking about wikileaks doesn't alter that risk. And as far as governments are concerned we're an infinitesimal blip on the radar - no agency cares enough about what we say to go to the hassle of knocking us off the net for a few hours or days...
