Because if not... what the hell's the use?

1. Also... Finally Got The Presskit From The Movie Website (Link Here)
BUT... had to download and install Abobe Reader X to get it to work. My older versions of Adobe could not handle it... damaged file messages.

Anywho, it's got really cool info, and can be found here: http://www.sonyclassics.com/insidejob/_pdf/insidejob_presskit.pdf

Movie website (lots of Flash stuff): http://www.sonyclassics.com/insidejob/

3. K&R - is it in theatrical release right now?
I don't have TV, so I haven't seen any ads about it -- which is why I have to ask.

25. It's in release in New York
....and moving out across the country soon. It probably won't get much distribution.

So have a cinema party and rent it from Netflix soon. A Must See.

5. Oh for fuck's sake
A President has to see a movie to be able to do anything? Unrec'd for overzealous fandom.

9. It Involves Members Of His Cabinet...
He might want to have a date night with his wife and the Bidens, and NO ONE ELSE!!!

And you ought to see this movie too!

11. Is there something else that will make him do something?
He hasn't seemed too interested in doing anything about the real criminals in this country up to now, so maybe he SHOULD see the movie.

14. Have you seen the movie?
How can you Unrec a post about this movie if you haven't seen it yet?

How do you know this OP is overzealous if you haven't seen the movie to judge it for yourself?

Given that the movie has direct bearing on members of his cabinet, and matters of urgent importance he is working on, you would think this movie would definitely be something he would want to see. It is a very relevant research documentary.

18. So, you think he needs to see a movie to know what happened?
You don't think he already knows far more about what went on than anything a movie could have depicted? Really? Personally, I'd rather he spent the time actually dealing with the issue than watching some film that just rehashes what he already knows.

20. No... It's Just That His Actions Seem To Indicate He Doesn't Know What Happened...
Either that, or he just wants to preserve the status quo...

So much for change, eh?

26. Excuse me...but
Obama needs to know the narrative we all now know *about* him.

And BTW, he certainly hasn't acted like he has the whole picture firmly in hand. He's acted like all he understands is Larry Summers version of events.

It quietly explains much about our finace system. It does it in a way that's entertaining and enlightening. AND THERE's POPCORN!

24. Terrific, riveting movie
Clear, concise, dramatic and very informative, even if you thought you mostly understood who the villains are in our economic melt down. Does everything that Moore's "Capitalism, a Love Story" failed to do and is much more on point.

An absolute must see.

Urge your Congress people to see it. Urge Obama to see it.

32. It's likely to be like seeing a rerun.
Working in a trading room, I had a front row seat to all of this crap. I also didn't sleep from June 2009 until January 2010 as a direct result from the crap that unfolded by people who mostly got away with it and richer than they were when the whole mess started.

I'll have to hunt it down if it's still showing in our local indie theater.
