I also find it interesting that many Republicans would like to get rid of the NSF completely while privatizing the TSA.

3. Advances in science and technology are our future.

It's funny how we can't set our priorities to take advantage of this.

9. This might come out backwards, not meant to demean any workers, all are important. Generally

in a society great discoveries by a small percentage have carried a society in many ways and created lots of jobs, industries, better standards of living, etc. And often that has come from advances in science and technology. Now, it seems vogue by some to ridicule those that are good in science, math, music, etc. while in HS, and often I wonder how many brilliant minds have been destroyed in youth.

The short of what I'm saying is it's a damn foolish country and individuals that justify their personal shortcomings and greed by ignoring priorities to take advantage of and invest in science and technology for the future of the country. Other countries are walking past the US, will continue and we had best examine our priorities if we want to even be an equal player in the future.
