Flew out of LAX and ATL this weekend and no xray scanners or pat-downs
Edited on Mon Nov-22-10 07:55 PM by KeepItReal
Just very meticulous X-rays of carry on luggage and the normal metal detector walk through.

I saw one gentleman get a pat-down at LAX and I can only assume he failed the metal detector or was some kind of selectee.

In both cases the full body scanners were present, just not in use.

Whatever TSA is doing, it isn't a nationwide screening policy.

1. I am sure it's done in order to confuse terrorists.
If TSA were to use the same procedures in each airport terrorists would figure it out, and then what?
:sarcasm:

2. There never has been any consistency in the TSA screenings
I have always been able to walk through the screening at one airport with my 3oz shit in the quart baggie left in my bag while other airports have hassled my over the type of baggie, (not a zipplock type).

What is done at one airport is not done at another. Take your shoes off one time and not the other. Place your wallet on the belt one time and not another.

How do they expect the public to conform if they are not consistent?

7. No but there were a lot of stressless fliers
Thanks to someone at TSA exercising some common sense.

8. My husband has flown several times this month and has not
been scanned or groped in ATL or the destination cities. Maybe they are stepping up soon?
