4. Strongly disapprove
Obama needs to make some radical changes in his advisers and drop bipartisan bullshit, the republicans declared war on him a long time ago, time to reciprocate.

9. Just now on the Ed Show they were talking about how
Obama wants to have a truce with the Chamber of Commerce. With the Chamber of Commerce!! Unbelievable. And what truce? To have a truce you have to have two people fighting. Obama hasn't thrown a punch yet.

11. what's unbelievable is that most people buy that crap, about Obama and the Chamber being "at war".

i'll try to post a very relevant link from my home computer tonight.

I must say though, Obama becoming even more corporate-friendly, does *not* bode well.

Think even more corporate welfare, free trade and anti-working class policies.

28. Yes he did those things
Feinberg is getting $850,000 per month to settle the claims
and the claim process just got changed again.
To get any money the people have to agree not to sue bp.
They are still spraying corexit.
Still oil washing ashore
In a thread on DU this evening there was a story
about a ship full of shrimp that was full of oil
caught in a safe fishing area.
Still tons of oil in the water below the surface.
Still oil under the beach sand.
Would you have handled the Ecocide in the same manner??

Do you really not see the benefit of a president who holds himself above that sort of thing?

Obama refuses to given to base emotions like anger and hatred. Even after all the shit that they keep piling on him he shoulders it like MFing Atlas.

Whether people want to admit it or not, having a POTUS that tries to govern on both sides is the only thing keep the top on this pot. The moment Obama slips, and starts talking like he wants a fight. The fight we get is not going to be only played out on TV. Everyone points to how partisan Bushy boy was. However, we didn't threaten to get our guns did we? They have and are willing to.

He is holding this country together, as much as we seem to hate him for it.

a break down of issues, it's not useful. At that point, a poll is just adding to the static.

30. Approve.
That's not to say I agree with everything he's done or that he hasn't fallen short in some areas, but I take a balanced view of him within the context of his obstacles and the limitations of his office.

Unlike many people here, I do give him credit for many positive things instead of focusing on the negative, He's also affected me directly with legislation he's signed.

I also like his temperament and intelligence, particularly in contrast to the dumbass we had before him.
