In 1994, a terrorist in Oklahoma used a rented vehicle to blow up a bomb and subsequently ended up murdering 168 people, 19 of them being children, and injuring several hundred other people/children.

Should rental agencies then be forced to fondle your genitals and/or take pictures of you naked before renting out vehicles?

In many, you cannot bring your cell phone. You have to leave it in the car or check it in with them. It's a pain in the neck when you forget it when you leave.

Strangely enough, that would not have prevented McVeigh's attack. But I guess that gave them the idea they were targets.

Before that you could just go into federal buildings freely, like stores.
