Whoever you are, thank you sooooooo much for the star. I've been unemployed so haven't kept up my star status ... and as it happens I just got a fabulous offer on Friday -- I start a week from Monday.

I will pay your kindness forward, here by Christmas.

2. Somebody did that for me some years ago when I was stony broke
I still pay it forward from time to time when I've got a few bucks I don't need and I see a starless lefty.

That's really the kind of world we're all working toward, though, one where we help each other when we can and can count on help when we need it.
